Colorado Critters & Adventures: Adult Edition

About this book

A bull elk in the pines. A moose wading through a mountain lake. Foxes, bears, a bobcat, hummingbirds and a red-tailed hawk. Golden aspens, a rainbow after the storm, a hot springs soak, and the California Zephyr winding through a red rock canyon beside the Colorado River.

Every illustration is inspired by a real photo taken in Colorado, and a short Colorado fact faces each picture. The pages are single-sided, and there is a colour test page for trying out your pencils and markers.

Made for people who like to look at a drawing for a while. The wildlife is drawn in fine detail and the landscapes leave lots of room for layered colour. A short Colorado fact faces each picture, so you can read a little while you colour.

Colorado has more than fifty peaks that rise above 14,000 feet. Locals call them "fourteeners."

Black Bear

Despite the name, many of Colorado's black bears are brown, cinnamon or even blond.
